A great pair of leggings can change your life. If you’ve ever worked out in ill-fitting leggings--you know what I mean. Nothing beats the feeling of finding that perfect pair that fit so great you never want to take them off.

Beyond Yoga’s essential leggings are some of the softest out there. They are form fitting, but definitely not compression-level tight. These leggings are designed for wear during activities like yoga, pilates or barre, so the fabrics are not super sweat-wicking and don’t provide as much support for activities like running or plyometrics. So if you spend a lot of time on the mat, or are looking for comfortable yet-stylish athleisure, Beyond Yoga is a must.

We're obsessed with the Alo Yoga fit. These leggings are definitely not just for yoga. We've worn these everywhere from barre class, to spin class, and even on shorter runs. These leggings are super versatile for all activities because they have great support and their signature “Ultimate Nylon Spandex” fabric feels incredible. Alo leggings maintain their shape and fit wash after wash.
Best studio-to-street style: Idol Legging
Best for: All Activities
Lululemon (obviously) has you covered for every type of activity. One of our favorite styles is the High Times Pant. We've mainly worn these to barre classes, but they are super versatile for other types of classes like spin or for other cardio classes. The full-on Luxtreme fabric is shaping and stays dry.
BEST FOR: ALL ACTIVITIES
Nike’s high-rise Power Legendary Tights are the most durable leggings for running and lifting. The last thing you want to worry about when working out is if the person behind you can see through your pants. We promise these leggings have you covered. They also have slight compression, but not too much where you feel restricted.
Best Workout to Street Style
The Athleta High Rise Chaturanga Tight are the best leggings for transitioning from workout to street style. These have great support for a yoga class, and are flattering enough to wear to lunch or while out running errands.
Best for: Yoga
We couldn't leave this fashionable yoga brand off of our list. We’ve found Onzie leggings as the overall most comfortable fit for yoga. Their pants are high waisted and flexible. Plus they have a TON of cute designs.
BEST FOR: COMPRESSION FOR ENDURANCE RECOVERY (Some styles are not meant to be worn during workout)
The 2XU Elite MCS Compression Tights are the best for helping ease muscle trauma and aid in recovery after endurance exercise. Check these out if endurance running or cycling is part of your workout routine.
